Takedown Radar

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Takedown Radar (“Takedown Radar”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our website and service (the “Service”). We are the data controller for the personal data described below. Takedown Radar operates within the European Union, and we process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@takedownradar.com.

1. What data we collect

We collect only the data needed to provide the Service:

  • Account data — your email address and a password. The password is stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider; we never see or store it in plain text.
  • Monitoring data — the URLs you submit to monitor, any labels you add, and the historical results of each check (status and any associated public takedown-notice references).
  • Notifications and settings — the alerts we generate for you and your per-account preferences (for example, whether email notifications are enabled).
  • Operational logs — technical records of actions taken in the Service (event type, timestamps, and internal account/monitor identifiers) used for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
  • Payment data — if and when paid plans are offered, payments are handled by our payment provider acting as merchant of record. We do not receive or store your full card details.

2. How and why we use your data

We process your data on the following legal bases:

  • To perform our contract with you — creating and securing your account, running the URL checks you request, and sending you service alerts.
  • Our legitimate interests — keeping the Service secure, preventing abuse, diagnosing errors, and maintaining operational logs.
  • Your consent — where you enable optional features such as email notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time in your settings.

3. Service providers (subprocessors)

We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to operate the Service. Each processes personal data only on our instructions and only for the purposes described below.

ProviderPurpose / data processed
SupabaseDatabase and authentication — stores your account and monitoring data.
VercelApplication hosting and delivery.
ResendDelivery of transactional and alert emails to your address.
ZohoEmail mailbox and handling of correspondence you send us.
SentryError diagnostics; may process your IP address and technical context when an error occurs.
PaddlePayment processing as merchant of record (only if you purchase a paid plan).

4. Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the Service — primarily to keep you signed in (authentication and session cookies). We may also set functional cookies via our error-diagnostics and payment providers. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics tracking.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your account and monitoring data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal data, except where we are required to retain limited records to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes. Self-service account deletion is not yet available; to request deletion, email us at support@takedownradar.com.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority in the EU.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@takedownradar.com.

7. International transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside the EU (for example, in the United States). Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
